Summer 2025: Wilmot Sanz Welcomes Five Star Interns!

It’s that time of year again—when fresh talent joins our team, bringing new perspectives, bold creativity, and just the right amount of chaos to the office coffee bar. We’re excited to introduce the five amazing summer interns joining our healthcare design firm this season. From design theory dreams to favorite fiction reads, these future rockstars are already making their mark. Meet Tibby, Chance, Luis, Jenna, and Julia!

Tibby Hellmann, WELL AP
School: Virginia Tech
Major: Interior Design, Class of 2026
Tibby stumbled into interior design by way of a career planning course and a very persuasive personality test. Originally set on pre-med, she wisely pivoted before signing up for a decade of school and discovered her calling in healthcare design. She takes a highly practical approach, focusing on how the built environment supports user health (with a WELL Certification obsession to prove it). When she’s not designing, you can find her whipping up homemade ice cream or getting lost in fantasy novels. Her 10-year plan? Consulting on healthcare space planning problems from her farm – maybe with goats.

Chance Loberiza
School: The Catholic University of America
Major: Architecture + Civil Engineering, Class of 2026
Always the artist with a big heart, Chance offers a lifelong love for drawing and a knack for creating spaces that work well and feel good. He’s passionate about designing environments that are safe, experiential, and sustainable for everyone. He balances his creative energy with some healthy competition on the basketball court and stays active at the gym. Looking ahead, he hopes to keep leveling up in architecture and give back to his family that supported him along the way.

Luis Andres
School: University of Maryland
Major: Architecture, Class of 2026
Luis grew up surrounded by Legos and blueprints, with a deep-rooted love for construction and design. He initially pursued engineering—until a certain architecture class shifted his perspective and his trajectory. His design philosophy is centered on personal intention: imagining how his family would experience each space and pouring that same care into every project. Outside of work, he’s a hands-on creator, lifting weights, playing soccer, and diving into 3D printing. In 10 years, he sees himself in a leadership role at an architecture firm— designing with heart.

Jenna Senger
School: Penn State University
Major: Architecture, Class of 2026
Jenna was raised in a house full of engineering know-how, with her dad and grandfather tackling hands-on projects like pros. But she craved more freedom and creativity, which led her to architecture. Her designs blend practical function with vibrant fun—think color, bold shapes, and a little bit of whimsy. When she’s not dreaming up user-centered spaces, she’s playing saxophone, embroidering, or serving aces on the tennis court. She has a passion for people and plans to return to her hometown to give back to her community.

Julia Schnittger
School: Virginia Tech
Major: Architecture, Class of 2029
Meet Julia—the newest of the new and already making waves. A proud graduate of Princess Anne High School’s IB Program and one of five siblings, Julia is no stranger to navigating busy environments. Her interest in architecture sparked from her love of art and drawing. Julia brings a dynamic blend of creativity and leadership to the table. In high school, she was deeply involved in student government and even helped lead a leadership workshop to teach others—talk about practicing what you preach. Now at Virginia Tech, she’s diving into her 5-year BArch program with a business minor to round it all out.

We’re so excited to see the creativity and energy these five bring to our projects this summer. Follow along as they share what they’re learning—and probably a few coffee-fueled insights—throughout their internships. Welcome to the team, Tibby, Chance, Luis, Jenna, and Julia!
