Responsibilities

Broadly speaking, the new marketing coordinator will be primarily responsible for leading the process of pursuing new work for the firm.  Though this role may wear many hats and encompass other related duties, as assigned, specific core responsibilities will include:

  • Develop proposals, statements of qualifications, interview presentation materials, brochures, and other marketing collateral, both in response to solicitations from prospective clients and in support of the firm’s proactive business development efforts.
  • Create compelling, customized written and graphic content to empower the firm’s marketing and communications efforts.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s owners, technical staff, and marketing/business development team to craft and execute successful project pursuit strategies.
  • Coordinate the efforts of teams with many moving parts, encompassing both internal colleagues and external partners and consultants.
  • Develop and maintain libraries of photography, project information, resumes, proposal content, and other marketing materials.
  • Regularly update the firm’s website and social media platforms with fresh content.
  • Research prospective clients, teaming partners, and competitors.
  • Engage with various opportunities for public relations and communications, including preparation of awards submissions, editorial content, and materials for conferences.
  • Participate in occasional client meetings, job site visits, and industry events outside the office.
  • Some limited travel may be required.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate

  • Strong ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively, in both written and verbal form.
  • Detail-oriented and thoughtful approach to your work – appreciates the value of consistency, precision, and quality.
  • Organized, efficient, and unflappable in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Responsive and proactive – a resourceful problem-solver and an intellectually curious critical thinker, eager to learn about our specialized industry and not afraid to ask questions.
  • A good eye for layout, formatting, and visualization of various print- and electronically-based marketing materials.
  • Strong work ethic, with a collaborative, team-focused attitude and a hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Business, English, Social Sciences, Liberal Arts and Humanities, or other related field.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office software, and a WordPress-based website content management system is a plus.
  • Experience in professional services marketing, technical writing, or other related fields is a plus, but this role is also appropriate for an entry level candidate.
