Wilmot Sanz & Grimm + Parker Architects Collaborate on Replacement Health Center

Improving the Health of Our Community

Montgomery County officials and members of the community were on hand to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Dennis Avenue Health Center on May 29, 2014.  A replacement for the existing Silver Spring facility, the new health center will address a steadily growing demand for clinic and office space.  It will house a range of public health programs including Communicable Disease & Epidemiology, Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response, Immunization, Disease Control, HIV Services, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Services and Tuberculosis Control in a state-of-the-art-building.

Leveraging the strengths of both firms in nationally recognized healthcare design expertise and award winning civic and community focused architecture, Wilmot Sanz and Grimm + Parker Architects are collaborating to deliver this signature project for Montgomery County.  At the groundbreaking ceremony, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett acknowledged the importance of the new health center, stating, “I am pleased we are beginning construction on this vital facility.  This is the first new health facility we have built in more than 20 years and the services provided at the Center are critical public health programs that protect the health of all Montgomery County residents.”

We are proud to have the opportunity to work together with the County to help improve the health and well-being of our local community.
