The Medical Center is in the construction phase and is near completion

The design of the medical center includes a combination of renovation and new construction. The first floor design consists of an expansion of the existing Emergency Department to allow relocation for fast tracking, a new ambulance bay, and a new walk-in entrance. New construction on the second floor will include 20 private post-partum patient rooms, including a new-born nursery. Renovation on the second floor will include 8 LDRs with support services, 2 C-section rooms with recovery areas, 12 NICUs, 8 progressive care nurseries, and 4 in-patient dialysis areas. The third floor of new construction will house 8 Operating Rooms, including 2 Cardiovascular ORs, 2 Orthopedic ORs, 1 Neurology OR, and 3 general ORs. The renovation of the third floor will house support services for the Surgery Department, including Central Sterile Supply.
