City for Humanitarian Services

The Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City is a new, 400-bed hospital that includes a Rehabilitation Center, a Recovery Center and an Ambulatory Care Center that span a total of eight buildings. Located in Binban, a small community 30 kilometers north of Riyadh, the Humanitarian City is a private facility that was established in 1996 to provide state-of-the art outpatient and rehabilitation services.

The Humanitarian City opened its doors to patients in December 2001. When completed, the City will occupy 98,000 square meters and is set on a site totaling approximately 1,200,000 Square meters. The City will also include a child development center, on-site staff housing, outpatient clinics, conference hall, sports hall and administrative buildings. Wilmot Sanz provided healthcare planning and functional space programming to support HLW’s design of the campus.
