City for Humanitarian Services
The Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City is a new, 400-bed hospital
that includes a Rehabilitation Center, a Recovery Center and an
Ambulatory Care Center that span a total of eight buildings. Located
in Binban, a small community 30 kilometers north of Riyadh, the
Humanitarian City is a private facility that was established in
1996 to provide state-of-the art outpatient and rehabilitation services.
The Humanitarian City opened its doors to patients in December
2001. When completed, the City will occupy 98,000 square meters
and is set on a site totaling approximately 1,200,000 Square meters.
The City will also include a child development center, on-site staff
housing, outpatient clinics, conference hall, sports hall and administrative
buildings. Wilmot Sanz provided healthcare planning and functional
space programming to support HLW’s design of the campus.
