A 20-year master plan

Wilmot Sanz developed a 20-year master plan for the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital Medical Campus in Rockville, Maryland.

Phase I was recently completed by Wilmot Sanz. This phase includes a new all-private patient care tower and surgery depatment as well as major renovations to many of the Hospital’s clinical departments.

The Hospital is located in the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center and is one component of the medical campus core of the the Life Sciences Center. The master plan includes a short-range and a long-range plan to develop the existing land for future acute hospital growth, psychiatric hospital redevelopment, nursing center and rehabilitation hospital growth.

Parking structures and future ambulatory care and medical office buildings are included in the long range plan. The hospital will work with the Montgomery County Planning Commission to upgrade the existing site land density.
