“Interior
design” maintains the continuity of the overall design concepts.
Through the use of lighting, materials, and furnishings, it further
defines and supports the circulation, function, and articulation
of spaces established by the architectural program. It adds emotion
to raw space and clarifies its use.

Wilmot/Sanz is among the foremost experts in the U.S. in designing
healthcare interiors. We are at the forefront of creating “optimal”
healthcare environments that support a life enhancing healthcare
experience for patients, staff and visitors. Our fundamental interior
design goals are to create and articulate spaces that:
- Facilitate the delivery of "state-of-the-art" care
- Provide orientation and direction
- Promote healing by reducing user stress
We recognize the complexities of space utilization, and the importance
of enhancing efficiency through interior layouts. The Wilmot/Sanz
portfolio is characterized by the use of natural lighting and natural
materials, indoor/outdoor gardens, water features, and spaces designed
for family inclusion and patient/staff education.
Most importantly we believe that the quality of care can be enhanced
by the healing environments we create. The realization of spaces
that comfort and empower patients as they receive care and treatment
can lead to positive outcomes that can be shared by the staff, the
hospital system and the communities they serve.
