Patient tower addition and major renovation

Wilmot Sanz completed both the Master Facility Plan and the design for the Provena Saint Joseph Hospital Patient Tower addition and renovation project. The new patient tower opened in April 2008.

The project consists of a new four-story patient tower that houses 99 all-private medical/surgical beds. The first floor features a new main lobby and space for cardiac testing and administration.

The project also includes major renovation of the existing critical care, labor delivery, post partum and physical rehabilitation patient care units. The imaging department was also totally remodeled.

Additionally, the surgery department has undergone extensive expansion and renovation to add five surgical rooms and three catheterization labs, including one hybrid OR/cath lab. This innovative room allows for a quick transition between catheterization and urgent surgery.
