Expansion and consolidation of women's center, surgical and emergency departments

This expansion is the first phase of the long-range master plan to be implemented. A five-story expansion to the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital will add 90 medical surgical beds, 48 post-partum beds, and 32 bassinet NICU stations.

On the lower level a 20-room surgical suite will consolidate surgical services in the hospital. The project also includes an addition to the emergency department and a two-story main entrance atrium. Surgical services support and a new sterile processing department are located on the basement level below surgery.
