Three story addition and alterations
The Gettysburg Hospital aggressively pursued modernization of its
patient care areas with this three-story addition. The building
was designed to compliment the existing campus character and provide
for future vertical expansion.
New construction for the Hospital includes a Community Center with
multi-purpose conference facilities, new Surgical Suite with expansion
of the existing PACU, and a new Obstetrical Suite utilizing the
LDR concept. The Obstetrical Suite includes 12 spacious post-partum
beds monitored by a centrally located Nurse Station. The Nursery
for the new suite includes an infant isolation room and space for
9 bassinets.
Alterations include major remodeling of the existing Surgical and
Obstetrical suites for medical surgical beds, and major remodeling
of the first floor to consolidate outpatient services. This project
also encompasses additions to the Power Plant and new construction
for central chilled water equipment.
