Expansion of a community hospital emergency department

The 2010 Project at Calvert Memorial Hospital will completely renovate and add to the existing Emergency Department and Laboratory. Thirty two treatment rooms are arranged in two care pods sharing support space and dedicated imaging. The project also realizes an outpatient concourse connecting the Emergency and Main Hospital Entrances. A new ICU will provide state of the art critical care with maximum visibility from the staff work areas.

Expansion and relocation of a community hospital surgery department

The expansion of Calvert Memorial Hospital relocated and expanded the surgery department with a dedicated, convenient ambulatory patient entrance on the first level, and a new central processing department contiguous to surgery on the basement level. The basement addition also included a new boardroom and conference center with an exterior courtyard.

The relocation of the surgery department enabled the hospital to move forward with the expansioand renovation of its existing obstetrical/post-partun m units. The units include five new labor and delivery rooms, a C-section room, a new nursery, and private rooms for the post-partum nursing unit.
