New health education center at Inova Fairfax Hospital

Given the current shortages of nursing and allied health personnel, it is essential to develop and maintain top-notch employee training facilities in order to remain competitive in employee recruitment.

The purpose of the new Claude Moore Health Education Center is to develop, support and sustain clinical competence in all specialties of medical practice for students, residents and physicians on the campus of Inova Fairfax Hospital. By providing dedicated training space, the center greatly increases the hospital’s capacity to educate staff.

Claude Moore provides the hospital’s 4,900 nurses the opportunity to review and demonstrate clinical competencies in a skills lab environment, including general surgical and cardiac simulation laboratories.
